We've finished the year long feeding experiment! Thank you so much for the incredible effort from everyone that took part. We now have over 1000 twenty minute garden bird observations to analyse! Watch this space for news of the results......

On Sunday 7th October 2012 we carried out our final simultaneous roost count. THANK YOU so much to everyone that has helped with the roost counts over the past 3 years. We are now using all the information from the counts to write up the results to investigate the status of the UK's parakeet population.  We could not have done this research without you!

Hear about our research and the sound of 1000s of parakeets roosting on BBC Radio4 i-player: "The alien birds have landed"
